I really love eating salads in the summer, and today I’m going to share with you a delicious and easy broccoli salad. It’s so good, we’ve made it twice in the last week!
This past winter, while we were in Florida, I had a broccoli salad at one of our favorite restaurants. I liked it so well, that I knew I wanted to try to make something similar to it this summer. This recipe is what I came up with.
There are only a few ingredients, which you know I love, and very fast and easy to make. The recipe is a combination of several recipes I found online. The dressing is one that my uses on her BLT salad. Hmmm… maybe I’ll have to share that recipe with you soon too.
The first time I made this I didn’t use any measurements, I just threw everything in the bowl. The second time, I tried to figure out some measurements for you. This is what I came up with. Enjoy!
1 cup Marzetti Low Fat Slaw Dressing
2 Tbs. sugar
2 Tbs. skim milk
1-2 heads of broccoli
6 oz. grated carrots
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup of slivered almonds
Cut up broccoli florets. In a large bowl, combine the broccoli, carrots, sunflower seeds and almonds.
In a small bowl mix together the slaw dressing, sugar and milk. Pour over broccoli and carrot mixture. Refrigerate at least 3 hours before eating to let the ingredients marinate.
